This painting represents the
homesickness that I got when I moved to uni for the first time ever.
I made this piece to remind myself that
no matter how far home was I could always just pick up the phone and call. All
the walking I did while at uni, hence the nature and wolf side also inspired
me.
This painting reposes the
transformation after death, whether that’s an angel or butterfly.
I made this painting for a friend that
saw my style of work and wanted me to create something for her. She like a lot
of Goth hence the skull but I know that she is a nice girl deep down hence the
butterfly wing.
This painting is a technique called
drop paint where you fill a cup with different colour paints (with out mixing
them together). Placing the work area over the top and letting it set for a
minuet and lifting the cup up to revile the marbling effect. These colours
remind me of some hypnotic and hallucinations.
Trying to go with the hypnotic ideas,
using black ink to draw a lotus flower for the myth of the flowers hypnotic and
hallucinogenic powers.
This is a painting on flat canvas of a silhouette of a deer and the white ink is the habitat where deer’s are found.
I was inspired from an article I came across about the loss of animals and how many are going extinct. I thought if I can get to draw/paint some of these animal and their habitats I could maybe get the messages across to some of the audience.
This painting represents the ticking time that goes past while you wait for you love one to appear in your life. The key is ready to open the locket, the hour glass and the rose represents the time frame of someone’s life waiting for a loved one, and the dragon is you.
I was inspired by all the love that was happening around my life and I was still waiting and looking for the right guy to come along.
